Positions Available Now
- Full-Time bilingual (Spanish/English) master level therapist positions
- Full-time master level therapist positions providing field based and outpatient treatment services to children and adolescents who have been affected by abuse, neglect or exposure to community violence. Provide individual, family and group therapy, as well as complete comprehensive initial assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Case management duties include coordination with schools and DCFS and providing linkage to services in the community. Strong documentation skills required.
- Eligible candidates must be bilingual in English and Spanish and be currently registered with the BBS as an ACSW or MFT intern.
- For The Child is an agency with a long history of providing child abuse prevention and treatment services. We offer training opportunities and excellent clinical supervision toward successful BBS Licensure.

- Volunteer Child and Family Services Coordinator
- The Volunteer Child and Family Services Coordinator provides leadership and direction for volunteer child services, administrative and fundraising volunteers. Coordinator is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous process improvement of all volunteer procedures including recruiting, enrolling, screening, training, scheduling, managing, mentoring, and acknowledging. Working closely with and reporting to the Director of Development, this position also has primary responsibility for soliciting and managing in-kind donations, holiday family programs and assisting the Development Director with fundraising events.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, outgoing, friendly with an ability to engage others in the work of helping children.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Good computer skills – Word, Excel a must.

- Accountant
- Long Beach based non-profit organization seeks highly motivated individual to handle/manage accounting as part of an administrative team (non-supervisory capacity).
- Candidates should be detail-oriented and team players. Experience with QuickBooks is a must and experience with Department of Mental Health (DMH) contracts strongly preferred. Your QuickBooks skills will be tested as will your accounting knowledge.
- Reports to Executive Director.
- FT or PT (30 hours minimum) with benefits.
- Qualifications:
- Excel, Word, QuickBooks Premier experience a must
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting strongly preferred
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Ability to multi task and work well within a small company environment
- Primary Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:
- Assistance with agency/contract budgets, periodic review/revision
- Accounting for DMH and other contracts including but not limited to verifying data integrity and completeness, cost allocation, related reporting and audits
- Review of Accounts Receivable and Payable
- G/L Account Analysis
- Review Bank Reconciliations
- Review of month-end Closing Procedures
- Assistance with timely and accurate preparation of Monthly Internal Financial Statements
- Review Payroll reports and cost allocations
- Updating and streamlining accounting policies, documentation and procedures as necessary
- Preparing various financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
